Why I Love Inception

There isn't much I can say about this movie because I've only seen in once and that was the day it was released to theaters. I did talk about it for weeks afterward with anyone who would listen to me about it.

It was a great movie though. It is one of the only original movies that isn't a franchise, comic book, book, sequel, old TV show, remake, or reboot to have been released in the last 10 years. How ridiculous is that? I'm going to write a poem and then sell the rights to Hollywood.

From what I remember the story was very well balanced. Christopher Nolan (director and writer) was able to display a dream within a dream within a dream and maintain the action throughout all 3 scenarios without losing the audience in the melee. The casting was excellent and it is instantly one of my favorite Leonardo DiCaprio movies (along with Catch Me If You Can). I also loved Joseph Gordon-Levit's role mostly because I had just seen 500 Days of Summer and because his character got to wear some really sweet suit vests. Finally I loved the song that played during the trailers that appeared once they entered the dream realm.

Of course, there was a lot more to the film that I liked and loved, but again I can't remember all the intricate details of the entire movie. Watching the trailer again is making me super excited to see it again. Once it hits Blu-Ray in December expect me to lock myself in for a few days watching it over and over again. Oh boy, I can't wait!
