The Best Restaurant in ABQ... Period

Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration but the Zombie Doughnut Cafe is at least the best Doughnut shop in ABQ and that's no exaggeration. I got to meet the chef who is a graduate of the Culinary Institute (where my brother is currently attending) and we talked about how no place like this exists in ABQ. Now there is and it is spectacular.

The doughnuts are creative and delicious. They aren't the normal Dunkin' Donut style doughnuts as the chef has opted for the more filling cake doughnut. The doughnuts are super thick, but they are soft and perfect. Sorry if I repeat myself too much, I can only think of the yummy flavors I had today. There aren't 30,000 flavors like you'll find at DD and they aren't KKD. These doughnuts are intelligently design like they evolved from something else.

I tried two flavors: I had an espresso, maple brown sugar doughnut with bacon and a peanut butter and caramel doughnut. Both were great, but I preferred the peanut butter one more for some reason. I am definitely going back and can't wait to do so. You can find their location in the map below. Happy eating!
