iPad Etching Design

Gizmodo is having a contest to design an etching for an Apple iPad. The winner receives an iPad with their design on it. Of course I submitted a design for the contest:If this design wins (which I feel has a very slim chance) the iPad of course will be donated to the lab for all our use. If it loses, it will be made into a t-shirt to be sold on my store. Wish me/us luck.

Thanks to Andy for the point to the contest, critiquing the design, and providing crucial feedback for improvements (similar to but not the same as critiquing). He also played a hand in coming up with the idea for the design.

Speaking of which, this all started because Andy thought (as did I at the time) that it wouldn't take much effort in making this design. I already had a similar design that is poster/paper worthy. I tried working with that, but it was much too difficult and I basically had to make the DNA from scratch (which is super time consuming). So while it looked like I could take the easy way out it turned out that this design had to become completely original with the only thing borrowed is the trap from the new KochLab logo. (I don't think I've posted that yet.)
