Another Science Commons Logo

Let me know what you think of this one. I used the awesome slogan from the first image and combined it with a stylistic interpretation of shared data. I made the data (represented by 1's and 0's) into a double helix like DNA to give the impression the information is science oriented.

The only thing I'm not sure about is the encircling of the logo and slogan. I wasn't sure if I wanted it to just be curved, or represent a circle to hug the globe. Let me know what you think (I said that already, but it's still true).

Have you thought about an image like this? http://www.flickr.com/photos/dullhunk/4337901909/

I think the heart of SC is about connecting bits of knowledge...

I've seen the background image before. That is an interesting concept. I'll try and think of something along those lines.

Hi Ant,

I like the Logo a lot. I'm thinking if you added texture to your text in the logo you could add a 3-d look. By adding a drop shadow on the words and graying on the letters it could gives them some body. It also continues the 3-d look that you have with the helix circling the planet.
