Wal-Mart Awesomeness

So for Valentine's Day I took Stef out observing where we saw some pretty cool stuff. We made a picnic out of it and I made some awesome food (more details later). We went to Wal-Mart to get one of those lunch box type coolers to store the food (keep it warm) while we drove out to the observing spot.

I had no intention of keeping it, and planned on returning it the next day. Turns out I didn't even get to use it because it couldn't fit any of the tupperware we put inside. So today I went to Wal-Mart to return this abomination of a food container and get my money back.

It turned out that I got the cooler for free in the first place. When I bought it, the cashier never swiped it, unbeknown to me and Stef. When we tried to return it, the register person said that it wasn't on the receipt. I stared, puzzled at her and the receipt. I couldn't think of what happened. She then said that she could accept the return if given an ID. So Stef gave her hers, we received $10 and we walked out the door.

As we were leaving we both realized that we never paid for it because the cashier never swiped it somehow. (She was like $80 years old so that could explain a lot.) And then we realized that Wal-Mart just paid us $10 to return a "stolen" piece of merchandise. We then proceeded to Wing Basket and bought dinner. Yummy.
