Beaten to the Punch... By Myself!!!

After that TOTG: Unicron vs. the Rock, I got to reminiscing. This led me to the awesome ideas for 2 new posts! One is yet to come, but that other was supposed to be this one. It was going to be My Top 5 Favorite Toys.

While typing the title FireFox (my browser) filled in the rest, and one of the choices was Top 5 Childhood Toys. Upon further examination, I discovered that this was an actual post. I sat here aghast, wondering how somehow I in the past I could have had the exact same thoughts as a possible future self. This isn't the only time this has happened.

What's the worst part about this? It's not even that good of a post! How could I let this slipshod post get through the cracks. Oh well it isn't the first unentertaining thing I've done, and it won't be the last.

Anyways. In my attempt to recapture myself, I'm going to do the post again, but with individual actual toys instead of lumping them as I had done in that craptacular post above.

Top 5 4 Favorite Toys:

4. Future Batman: He was big, he was strong, he was Batman, and he was from the future. Whichever toy company makes this toy, at the time they were doing a legends of Batman kind of theme and he was one of the legends. The idea was so dumb now that I think about it, but alas I bought one of the toys and he was easily one of the greats. In those Comic Heroes wars I described, he was always the leader of the good team and he kicked ass. Believe it or not, but that had nothing to do with my preference for him over the other toys. Side Note: I quickly got rid of/lost those stupid wings and that dumb gun. Future Batman doesn't need anything.

3. WWE Wrestling Ring: I had a lot of the actual wrestlers, but none of them would have mattered if it wasn't for the ring. Actually, I got the ring first with a couple of action figures (Bret Hart among them). What made the ring special? Don't be stupid... you could stage matches instead of some backgroundless-dependent-on-imagination garbage. The ring enabled me to host PPV's, Monday Night Raw's, and later Friday (and early Thursday) Night Smackdown!. I was also able to acquire accessories for the ring such as, announce tables, steel cages, entrance ramps, and so much more.

2. 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime: My favorite transformer in the cartoon and noble leader of the autobots. Someone made this toy to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Transformers movie, and they did so in awesome and amazing fashion. They created the most realistic (by this I mean true to the cartoon) version of the character and gave him cool weapons and the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. When I got this toy I sang the theme song from the movie while pulling the matrix apart like 30 times!

1. Unicron: The planet transformer... One morning I was watching TV before going to class at Albany. I saw a commercial for this action figure and immediately called my mom and declared that all I wanted for Christmas was that toy! (Yes I was 20 years old!) X-mas came and Unicron was delivered! I quickly neglected the remainder of my gifts and opened that guy up. Then I undusted all my old transformers (Optimus Prime above hadn't come out yet), and had the most awesome toy battle ever. Unicron would win because there was no Autobot Matrix yet. But that would all change about 1.5 years later.

Here is a YouTube Video that pretty much sums the last two up:
