The Epitome of Inefficiency

To describe how completely and horribly inefficient I am, I was going to post this story like 3 days ago. Instead, I left it for now. Then I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out if it was even worth mentioning any more. Now I have decided that it was because even this process was a good example of my inefficiencies. Just look at this post. I'm writing about being efficient (or lack thereof) and I'm not even talking about the story that made me write this post in the first place. Alright, alright, I'll get to it now.

So Tuesday comes around and I have to give this presentation on Friday. I decide to get the ball rolling and commence work as soon as I get in. I open up powerpoint and begin the thought process of creativity. 3 hours later I create the first slide, my title slide, but not to the point of creation. Instead it is a rough mockup of what I want the slide to be. 3 hours to get literally almost nothing done.

We go to lunch and I come back and stare at the computer for what must be another hour. I'm not internet surfing. I am literally staring at the pc trying to figure out what I want to do. I didn't even know where I was in the creation process. Utterly lost in empty thought. With about one hour left in the work day I decide to work really hard and get about two-thirds of the talk completed.

I then spend the entire next day on the rest of it. I am amazing. In related news, my presentation is done (I have to give it tomorrow morning) and it is amazing I must say. I will have to post the title slide of it tomorrow as I am especially pleased with it.
